There are forces of nature, and then there are forces of super-nature, or the supernatural. I've been thinking a lot about supernatural forces, i know that sounds strange. Most of the time when someone says "a force of nature" what they really mean is "force beyond human control". Think about "nature". The wind, the waves, the quakes- they are all "Act's of God" right?
But there are forces of "nature" that do not leave behind physical signs that they have been active. Things like favor, grace, mercy, and honor. As I began exploring Supernatural Forces, I was completely undone by the majesty of God. Those who know me would tell you that I am all about giving people "tools" when I speak or teach. I am hoping in joining this study with me, you will find tools that help you unlock the majesty and power of God in your life.
ONLINE BIBLE STUDY IN COMMUNITY
The way this study will work is I will post a topic here on my website. You wont have to look for it, it will be on the front page. When there is a new post out, my Facebook and Twitter pages will show it, so that may notify you, or you can subscribe below and get email notifications as well.
The goal of an online community is to encourage each other to be in the Word and to be talking about the Word with one another. How much or little you participate is up to you.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
After reading the Bible Study's content, look up the passages addressed and meditate on them. Look up other verses that have to do with the same topic. Spend time making the topic your daily or weekly focus. As you get any insights, cross reference verses, or anything else that may be helpful of encouraging to those reading, leave a comment. Leave comments to one another by clicking "reply to" after another persons comment.
Continue studying and mediating on the topic and verses through the week (in between posts) and encourage your friends in the Word through social media or texting. Shoot a verse from your study out and use the hashtag #supernaturalforcesbiblestudy , direct people to the study by leaving the url: www.ginahyatt.com/blog
For those of you who are image savvy, use photo filters on apps such as Instagram, Studio Design, A Beautiful Mess, etc. to overlay a phrase or verse from our study to encourage your community via texting or social media. These are just a few suggestions of how we can use technology to ignite Bible-community- but you are a creative person! You may think of more ways than that!
My goal is to have a new post every Friday morning, to give a meditation focus for your sabbath/weekend, when most of us have more time to rest and soak in the Word. So if your not getting an email reminder, just check here Fridays.
Ok! Time to get the first study in the queue! See you Friday!
